Bogota - Medellin - Cartagena
Trip Summary
3 nights in Bogota

Bogota today is a modern city with an intense and vibrant cultural, intellectual and social life. Picturesque, with an important architectural heritage, the world's best Pre-Columbian art collection and fantastic museums, it also is a city of futuristic architecture with enormous modern buildings.
2 nights in Medellin

Colombia's second most important city, Medellin, is a safe, modern city filled with sophistication and charm from its Spanish heritage. Medellin is known by its cultural encounters, the warmth of its people and the amazing views that are accompanied by clear blue skies and beautiful sunsets. Medellin is becoming the destination of choice for many new and seasoned travelers. Due to the beauty of its women, the warmth and friendliness of its people, the year-round spring-like weather, and its gorgeous flowers and mountains, Medellin attracts like a magnet.
3 nights in Cartagena

Walk through Cartagena's welcoming alleys and streets and you will discover one of the most fascinating towns in the Caribbean, with a uniquely romantic atmosphere and well-preserved colonial architectural treasures. To add to its Caribbean Sea appeal, Cartagena guards inside its walls the largest fortification in the Americas built during Colonial times to protect it from pirates and buccaneers. Throw in the cultural mélange resulting from the Spanish-indigenous mix and you have a vibrant city that should be on every traveler must-see list.

Our trip was amazing! Columbia is a surprise for wonderful people, gorgeous scenery {flowers} Cosmopolitans. A large variety of interesting historical sites and great restaurants are available to enjoy. Transfers were perfect. Our guide in Bogota was Rosita, she is charming-experienced and informative. Parque 97 suites Hotel is very nice but more in the Business district. No air conditioning which we understand with mild weather. The Gold Museum is a true experience . `Zipaquira Salt Cathedral` is a definite `Do not Miss` We never felt any danger at all in Bogota. Security at most corners with largest DOGS we have seen. Great idea Medellin was a super surprise. Beautiful!! Very much enjoyed the ART HOTEL and staff. Located In the heart of happening... CARMEN is a fabulous restaurant. Juan was our guide and went out of his way to help us experience the Metro cable; which is a true feat of monies put to good use for the community. Cartagena Santa Clara is a fabulous hotel. Service impeccable. Walking distance close to all. Beautiful Bar and gardens. Concierge extremely helpful. Aviar was our guide and took us on a very fun and informative walking tour. Experienced dinner at VERA, which was on our dream list. Yes!! was stunning. We do not speak Espanola, but with the patient-soft-hearted, always smiling, Columbian people, we had not a problem. Thank you so much for connecting the dots to our wonderful, trouble-free COLUMBIAN HOLIDAY !!!
